Our building & access facilities
The Marlowe Theatre is a highly accessible building with a range of facilities for our disabled customers.
A maximum of 12 permanent wheelchair positions available over all three levels in the main auditorium and six wheelchair spaces in The Marlowe Studio.
We can also accommodate group visits, subject to availability. Pre-booking is essential. To get priority booking, you can join our Access Mailing List.
Fully accessible toilets on every floor within easy reach of the main auditorium.
Lift access to every floor.
For your safety, we cannot allow the transfer of wheelchair users into theatre seats.
If you have any additional access needs, including assistance with evacuation, please contact the Box Office.
Infrared hearing support system
We use an infrared system in the main auditorium for our hearing-impaired customers. Sennheiser medallions are available for use with a hearing aid; for those who do not wear a hearing aid, Sennheiser headsets are available.
When booking tickets, please ask our Box Office staff for advice on the best seating for these systems. Please collect the medallions/headsets from Box Office (£10 deposit required); our staff will be happy to offer operational advice.
Assistance dogs are welcome in the building, main auditorium and The Marlowe Studio. Let us know in advance if you need a dog-sitter and we will arrange this.
Blue Badge holders
There is no public parking on site but we offer a limited number of parking spaces for customers who are Blue Badge holders. These are not bookable but are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
There is a drop-off point available with step free access to the main foyer. We offer limited space for mobility scooter parking.
