Paavo Järvi conductor

Haydn Symphony No.88
Beethoven Piano Concerto No. 5, Emperor
Nielsen Symphony No.4, The Inextinguishable

Nielsen’s sound-world is filled with the forests, seas and mesmerising shore-lines of his native Denmark.

He penned his Inextinguishable Symphony in 1916, formed against the backdrop of the First World War. Alongside, Beethoven’s Emperor Concerto is famous for its spellbinding slow-movement and the imperial majesty of its three opening chords.
