June Brewer has been a member of The Marlowe Friends Committee from the early days and feels very privileged to be the current Chairman.

Having retired from full-time employment in 1992 she says she still works full-time but now in a voluntary capacity! 

As well as being the Chariman of The Marlowe Friends Committee she also produces, directs (and sometimes writes) shows to raise money for The Marlowe Theatre. So far, she has produced 101 shows!

June also enjoys organising many of The Marlowe Friends' outings and trips, a programme that has included countless visits to West End theatres and other places of interest.

Like many members, she says joining The Marlowe Friends is one of the best things she has ever done and now she cannot imagine her life without this involvement.

Being part of such a thriving organisation and knowing that I can contribute something is deeply satisfying
