During the fundraising campaign for the new Marlowe Theatre, The Marlowe Friends Committee raised over £50,000.

The support of The Marlowe Friends has been acknowledged in our new theatre, with a special plaque on the star dressing room.

Marlowe Friends Chairman June Brewer said: “Fundraising and friendliness are at the heart of our organisation and the Friends
Committee is very proud to have raised enough money to name the star dressing room in our new theatre. We are all very excited at the prospect of having our much-loved Marlowe back in business again - meanwhile, our fundraising will continue!”

Peter Williams added: “The Friends of the Marlowe are vital to the future of the new theatre and to its success. The contribution they have made is both generous and timely as we try to raise the final funds to achieve our fundraising target. Their support gives us great encouragement that we will meet our target and raise the curtain at our new theatre.”
