Booking fees: FAQ

All of our ticket prices include a £1.25 per ticket booking fee. The Marlowe Friends do not pay a booking fee.

Schools do not pay a booking fee, if booking in person or over the phone.

An extra charge of £1 applies if you would like your tickets posted. The Marlowe Friends do not pay a postage charge.

 

Why do you need to charge a booking fee?
We want to provide the best and most convenient ticket booking service for our customers. To make this possible it takes considerable resource, both in terms of staffing and investment in new Box Office technologies. The booking fee enables us to ensure that you will enjoy the best possible customer experience when you buy tickets from us, now and in the future, as well as helping to support the work that we do.

I am a Marlowe Friend. How much do I pay?
Our Marlowe Friends are very important to us and to acknowledge their loyalty all members can book their tickets without paying any booking fees, saving £1.25 per ticket in addition to other exclusive Friends tickets discounts. This means that your Marlowe Friends membership will save you even more money each year.

I bring large groups to the theatre to see shows. How much do I pay?
Group Bookers also pay a booking fee and the price of that per ticket fee is built into the cost of the ticket, making it easy for you to calculate. If you become a Marlowe Friend, you will pay no booking fees.

How do I know what booking fees I am being charged?
To make our bookings fees as transparent as possible, and to meet the requirements of relevant legislation, all booking fees are built into our prices, making it easy to understand what you will pay.

Our website, brochure and print also list the total price of each ticket, including the per ticket booking fee.
