The Marlowe Access Company (16yrs+)
The Marlowe Access Company, run in partnership with Canterbury Community Day Services and Confidance, is for people with learning disabilities. Using dance and drama, participants will work towards building confidence, working as a team and creating performances.
The Marlowe Access Company will be led by Ian Linton and Jo Frater.
Ian Linton: A Brits School of Performing Arts and Theatre and Community Arts graduate, Ian worked as a professional actor and community drama workshop leader before joining Canterbury Community Day Services (run by Kent County Council). He has set up and led a number of drama groups and workshops around the county.
Jo Frater: Jo has a background in movement and dance for disability and already runs a dance group at The Marlowe for children. She is the Creative Director of Confidance, a social enterprise that uses dance to champion the abilities of people with special needs.
The 10-week term of workshops starts week commencing Monday 24 April.
TIME: Tuesdays 10am-1.30pm
